3 YEARS!

Today is our 3 year anniversary! It has gone by so quickly. Of course there are always ups and downs but I couldn't imagine ever being without Dylan.

Because it is the leather anniversary, we got each other new flip flops. Really we both needed them and I thought hey that would work for the leather gift.

I can't wait for many more years to come!

C-O-U-S-I-N

This morning Dylan and I got up a lot earlier than we normally would on a Saturday to go get breakfast. We went to one of our favorite cafes in Pismo. It was really good but too much food for that early in the morning.

We kind of bummed around the rest of the day and I even ended up taking a 2.5 hour nap. It was amazing! I love me a good nap.

Kassandra was in the area visiting a friend and we met up with her for dinner. I took her to Le Ciel Crepe Cafe which is my absolute favorite. It was perfect weather to sit outside and have a good chat.

Dylan and I ended up convincing her to stay with us until Monday so she can celebrate the 4th with us.

Now if I can only convince her not to move back to Wisconsin in a few weeks. Here's hoping!

Next Chapter

Today is Dylan's last day of work at Integrity Security. I know it is super bittersweet for him because he loves all the people that he works with.

It is also exciting that he is moving onto the CHP and something that he has always wanted to do.

He is going out with the guys from his work tonight and celebrating his last day. Even though they have all been hanging out a lot these past 2 weeks. We will also be getting together with everyone for the 4th as one last hoorah!

Hopefully we will have a great weekend! I have 4 days off and that's all I really care about!

Sunday Afternoon

Dylan was not feeling good this morning so I went to church by myself. It was a little weird since we have just started going to Calvary SLO and I don't really know anyone there. All the college kids are gone for the summer so it was really obvious that I was sitting there all by myself. It was kind of nice though because I was able to just concentrate on me and my relationship with God.

When I got home, we decided to go on a bike ride to get Chipotle (I swear there is some addictive ingredient in their food). We then took the Chipotle to the park and ate lunch. It is such a nice day today. Not too hot!

Now we are either going to take a walk to Best Buy or go hike Madonna Mountain. Either way it is a long distance but what else would we do on this beautiful day.

Here is a picture that Dylan snapped on our way back from the park. Just so you know that I really can ride a bike. It was somewhat scary riding through downtown though cause there are no bike lanes and I definitely was riding right alongside other vehicles. I was hoping the whole time that I didn't get hit. I'm not too steady on a bike especially when there are vehicles that close to me.

CHP

We found out last Friday that Dylan has been accepted into the CHP academy. He will be starting July 26th and will have to live on the CHP campus in Sacramento. I am super excited for him because he has been waiting for this ever since he applied about 2 years ago.

It will be hard not having him here but hopefully 7 months will fly by. It's weird that it is finally happening because it seemed like ages ago that he even applied.

He told his boss on Monday and next week will be his last week at his current job. He is going to take 3 weeks off before he has to go to the academy to get all prepared.

I'll probably be lonely for the next 7 months so anyone who wants to come visit or hang out let me know.

Quicky

There is not much to say about what has happened in the 2 months since my last post.

The weather is starting to get warmer which prompted a lake trip last weekend but for some reason those particular days decided to be extremely windy with highs in the mid 60s. Not quite the lake trip we hoped for. Needless to say, I was in sweats and a sweatshirt the whole time. The only time my new bathing suit saw light was when I had to dip my butt in the lake to pee. I didn't even go wakeboarding because it was way too choppy.

When we got back though we went with friends to see MacGruber because they all think that if Dylan grew out his hair he would look like him. I think I agree.

Thursday I went on a girl's night with my friend Sarah to see Sex and the City 2. I think I enjoyed it better than the first one although I saw the 1st one the night before for the first time to prepare for the 2nd one. I never did watch the show when it was on except for the occasional nothing else is on so this will do.

Other than that this weekend has been super warm and Dylan and I got a lot of errands done. We are preparing for our week long camping trip with the family that will start the Monday after Father's Day.

That's about it for my quick update and I will try to find my camera cord before I post again!

Good Morning Vietnam

I obviously have had a brief break from my blog for no other reason than nothing interesting has happened in my life. Last night something bizarre happened that might be worth noting.

Andrea and Herbie came to visit and my friend Sarah joined us for dinner and a movie. We were walking from our apartment to Mo's for dinner when out of nowhere this homeless man coming the opposite direction proceeds to try and spit on me. I don't even know where it came from. Sarah and I were talking to Andrea and Herbie behind us when I turned around and spit was fired. Shocked, I looked at the guy and then he started to say profanity to us. I think he would have faught Herbie if he could have.

The only explanation we could think of was that maybe if Sarah and I were laughing he thought we were laughing at him. Obviously, he had mental health issues. I almost called the cops but because I wasn't directly hit I left it alone.

I should have called though cause Dylan said it's battery and I know, or have an in with, some of the cops in town.

So that's all that's been happening in my life lately. Probably not true, but at least that's the weirdest thing. I know I always say this but I will try to blog more. Not that I think anyone reads this.

Apple iPhone

Dylan and I made a life altering decision last night. We switched to AT&T and each got an iPhone. We both have been wanting one forever but never wanted to make the switch. I don't like that we switched from verizon but I guess that's the price we have to pay.

It's really fun and I love that I can just hop on the Internet at anytime. I just hope that I won't regret the switch from verizon.

Oh and did I mention that I am writing this blog from my new phone. Yay!

My Little Car

About the time Dylan and I moved to SLO, my Jetta decided to stop working. It wouldn't go into 3rd or 5th gear. When I took it to the dealer they said there was something wrong with the transmission and that it would be about 2500 dollars to fix. No thank you. We decided to just let it sit at Dylan's parents house since we didn't really need it and I walk to work.

It has been sitting there since February. No one had said anything about it until 2 weeks ago when the County left a note on the car that said it had to be moved and couldn't stay in the same spot for more than 72 hours. We decided that maybe it was finally time to fix it.

The battery was obviously dead since it had been sitting for over 10 months. We had it towed to Trans King in SLO and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. The guy had it for about 2 weeks and said he drove it everywhere and couldn't find anything wrong with it.

So moral of the story is: If your car has something wrong with it, let it sit for 10 months and magically it fixes itself and you save money!

It was so fun to drive today. I missed it. I hate driving Dylan's bus of a car.

Remember Me

So I haven't posted for over 3 months. Not much has happened in the past 3 months, except Dylan and I went on a cruise at the beginning of November. We went to the Mexican Riviera and once I edit the pictures I will post some on here. It was such a fun time and a good relationship builder.

This weekend was really fun. I got to see my friend Cherise who I haven't seen since Easter. It made me miss her even more getting to spend some time with her. I didn't even have a clue as to what has been going on in her life the past 9 months and there was a lot to catch up on. It made me decide that I need to start being a better friend to many people. I don't want to ever have that feeling of not knowing what someone has been going through. Especially when it is something that they have been dealing with for a while.

I also got to meet Gracie. She is the cutest most easy going baby. She was all smiles and definitely gave me some baby fever. I can't believe that I hadn't met her yet. I can't wait till the next time I get to see her again.

Jacqui is getting married this coming weekend and I get to have lunch with her on Wednesday. My last time while she is still a Skipton. I can't wait for her to be married. It is such an amazing life change. Of course there are always the ups and downs but having your best friend there to spend every aspect of your life with is truly amazing.

Anyways, I hope to be blogging more and not let it go another 3 months. I have many pictures to post that will catch you up on my life. Until then....

9-9-09

We had a party today at work for 9-9-09. It started at promptly 9:09 am and it was definitely at 990 Palm St. Any excuse for a party planned by yours truly.

On the news today I saw that people were getting married at the 99 cent store just to get married on 9-9-09. How bizarre. What a great story to tell your children how cheap you are.

Oh and I started watching the show Glee tonight. I'm pretty sure I might just have to stay tuned for the fall season.

But even better than any show on television is How I Met Your Mother. Less than 2 weeks is the season 5 premier on September 21st.

I'm sad because season 4 doesn't come out on dvd until September 29th. Poor planning because I would have like to re-watch it before the new one started.

Who cares though. I'm just excited it's starting again!!!

Double Stuffed

I think I found my weakness. I have been buying double stuffed oreos every time we go to the store lately. They don't last long because Dylan and I eat them like we are starving children in a third world country. I try to skip dinner or something if I am chowing down on them because I am starting to feel like I'm becoming double stuffed. My mid-section is a little more fluffy than I would like it to be and it probably has to do something with all the lard that I am putting into my body. How come a couple of years ago it didn't matter what I ate, I barely fluctuated in my weight? Now I can't lose even a few pounds if I am eating right. I figure if my goal is to gain weight than eating whatever I want will get me there. Let me just embrace my fluffy middle and move on with life.

I will think that way no more. I need to lose some weight and stop gaining. It is starting to get ridiculous. And no matter where I go there is always some sort of chocolate. I walk by the bowl at work all day long and after a while of saying no I can bare it no longer and I have to put a piece in my mouth. Only problem is that is at like 10:00 and I still have 6 hours of work to go. So it never stops at just one tiny piece.

I am determined to lose weight. That is after I finish the double stuffed oreos that we bought at the store today.

Motivated....we'll see.

Woo Hoo

I am so happy that this week is officially over for me. I feel like it has been extremely long and now I get to enjoy a 4 day weekend. As much as the first part of the week sucked, it turned out to be an okay week. I really like the girl who just started and it adds a little more excitement to the office.

I used to talk a lot to my other co-worker, but now between the three of us it is epic. It has been fun but I just have to be careful that my talking doesn't distract other people.

We don't have much planned for the weekend, but next weekend will be busy so it might be nice to just take it easy. We went on a bike ride last night so that might be in the works this weekend. Hopefully, I can get some sewing done and finish some projects. We'll see if my laziness wins out.

Longest Day Of My Life

I hate being taken advantage of at work.

I hate having to talk to a co-worker for over an hour after work just so we can vent and I can come home just a little less frustrated.

I hate when I'm stressed and someone else is sitting back and do nothing. Not to mention I'm doing that person's job.

I hate when I finally ask that person to do something, they debate with me and then go ask a different person to do it.

I hate not feeling appreciated for the work that I do above and beyond my job.

I hate that I can't even tell a supervisor because it's whats expected of me.

I hate that even after I talk to my co-worker about it I have to come and complain to Dylan.

I hate that I feel like I have to vent on a silly blog.

This is why I don't get anything done when I come home at night. I am so tired and exhausted from the day that I just want some good chocolate and to sit in front of a screen for a few hours. Then maybe, just maybe, I'll try to go to bed at a reasonable time just to get up and do it all over again.

Pictures

Here are some pics of the new do. I still wake up in the morning and wonder what the heck did I do? Every time I have chopped off my hair I went into the salon knowing exactly what I was doing. I love the new cut but I still miss my long hair. I guess I wasn't quite ready to chop it. I know it's just hair but it takes so long for mine to grow and it is so short in the back that it will take forever to grow back out. Maybe I just need to get over the growing out part and just enjoy it as it is. Yes, that's what I will do but until then I will shed a tear missing my long straight boring hair.

Ut oh

My hair disappeared last night.

I had every intention of just getting my hair colored so it finally blended together and just a trim. Little did I know that Jessi would talk me into cutting my hair in an a-line again. It is super cute, the color looks good and she did an amazing job.

The first cut I started freaking out just a wee bit. It was definitely a whim decision. I have been trying to grow it out and I wanted long luscious beautiful hair like the Kardashians. But let's be honest I have no body in my hair and it is like baby thin.

Anyway I am happy with my decision but a little sad that I cut so much off without really thinking it through.

Oh well it will grow back someday and in the meantime I can enjoy my new dew.

Dylan's Surprise For Me

I was home from work today and when Dylan got home he left the door open. I couldn't understand why he wouldn't close the door and then he wheeled in my new bike. We had looked at bike's last week but then we never talked about it again. Well apparently he bought the bike and had it all assembled without me knowing. He even put a lock on his computer so that I couldn't get onto the computer to find out that he had purchased the bike. I was so excited. And I love that it has a basket. Hooray!

And now we are off to my department's picnic. Should be fun and I made magic cookie bars.

Who said I want a kid?

So today I was at Yogurt Creations getting some gift cards for tomorrow. We are having a cooking challenge at work so I am bringing the prizes. Anyways, I walked in and the only other people in there were a young mom and a toddler. The little girl was super cute and she decided that running around the toppings in the middle of the store would be fun. She made a game out of it and thought her mom was chasing her. She came up behind me and grabbed onto my leg. She was holding tight like I was someone she knew and her mom kept apologizing but I'm pretty sure I started ovulating at the thought. Just kidding but seriously I want that. I thought after she looked up she would run to her mom but she just kept holding on and laughing. Her mom tried to pull her off but she just wanted to stay stuck to my leg. My heart melts a little.

Lakefest

Dylan and I are leaving tonight to go to Lake San Antonio with people from his work. It should be fun. I thought since I was so white I would go get a fake bake today just to add a little color. Well I added a lot of color and I look like a tomato. Not really what I was going for. Hopefully, I won't be aching the whole time. I brought lots of sunscreen, aloe vera, and asprin. A great concoction for a good weekend.
